@ODOWDAIBM I am unable to replicate this one, Can you provide more details on how you ran this command? Which terminal or which tab? Also, which link did you go to start the lab?
Try the lab again in an incognito window from this link: https://www.redhat.com/en/interactive-labs/ansible and Let me know if you are still facing the issue
Many thanks Anshul -- I deleted a couple of cookies, which seemed to create a new machine -- so at least I can work round it now. I looked in the /usr/bin
folder and could see lots of other Ansible commands, but not navigator
Thanks for getting back Anthony, can you share how you are accessing this lab? Which link you are going to in order to access the lab?
The lab here has the navigator command built in, https://www.redhat.com/en/interactive-labs/ansible
You might be using some other instance of the lab that is not maintained, let me know
Yep Anshul, that's the link I used.
Hi Anthony, I am also opening the lab from the link and I can see ansible-navigator and go through the exercises.
Where are you checking the /usr/bin
folder
I am doing this from the VSCode terminal and this is what I see
Hi Anshul -- I don't have the environment any more as I cleared out the instruqt and RedHat cookies, and restarted -- which gave me a new environment.
I think I'm happy to close this for now, as I have a workaround, documented here. If I find the issue again, then I'll re-open the issue.
Hope that's OK?
Sounds good, closing this one
quick comment to say thanks Anshul.
ansible-navigator inventory --list
command issues a warning:It seems as though it's not been installed properly. I've tried restarting the tutorial, shutting browser, but it seems tied to my email - which is understandable.
btw, the tutorial looks excellent!
