In the instructions for the provision-ec2-instance in the task to run the playbook under option two the instructions says:

In the terminal window, navigate to the playbooks/infra/install_cockpit/ folder.

This should be "navigate to the playbooks/cloud/aws folder.", the code section below is correct.
