Thanks for reporting. Confirmed. Busy in development of Ascension 2.0 where this bug is fixed already. Considering an updated 1.2.x build for the issue. Initially it was not my intension to publish any more updates before 2.0, working on it now. Stay tuned!
I'm good waiting until a 2.0 release… The OS is still beta, anyway. Just wanted to let you know...

Thanks, appreciated :)
Made up my mind. I won't publish an update to the Mac App Store for supporting Mountain Lion as long as the OS is still beta. But there will be a public alpha and beta program for Ascension 2.0 with the first build arriving soon. So users with Mountain Lion (all developers, which is great) can participate, they get a working version of Ascension for ML and I get useful feedback. Gonna leave this issue open until the first alpha build is available.
Nice one.

bonus. bonus for all.
First alpha is available in downloads section, fully supporting ML and ANSi rendering. As it is with alpha products: it's far from what the final Ascension 2 will be.
Nice one mate. It looks good so far!
Thanks! Much of Ascension 2 is still work in progress and yet unfinished e.g. as the new UI, but I'm doing my best to share updated builds frequently. Here is a post about alpha 1 on my blog http://byteproject.net/post/22967191080/ascension-2-0-alpha-1
program itself will run, but any attempts to load a file cause it to crash.
