Hi, ASECAM CloudCam, Model: Y4C-ZA based on GK702, Want to know pins or pads to solder ethernet plug.

This cam is working perfectly fine on wifi. I have taken some snaps of the CloudCam for reference. I want to interface this camera with Raspberry Pi on ethernet. Also, I could not find anywhere the datasheet of GK7102. Pls support. IMG_20191010_164041 IMG_20191010_174515 IMG_20191010_164450 IMG_20191010_171759

This is the same as the Digoo M1. The serial port is as shown in the attached photograph. I actually attached the ground cable to the other three pin connector because I needed the space. You can see this if you look closely. The GND connection is on the lower lefthand side of the photo but this was just for convenience. Digoo M1 Serial Port

@bitfarmer thanks but I need ethernet (LAN) connection pin detail and not serial port.

Hello bitfarmer, How did you make this plugin? dupont connector?

bitfarmer commented 4 years ago

I used three individual prototyping cables with round pins at each end. The Dupont cable pins are square and too big to fit in the holes on the board. I have these cables for so long that I don't know where I got them from but I reckon they are common.

I just did a quick search and I see they are all over the place! For example: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/65-Solderless-Flexible-Breadboard-Jumper-Cable-Wires-for-breadboard-prototyping-/262341198322

VU2ATX: did you ever find out if there is a way to add an ethernet port? I wonder what the empty soldering pads on the top left side (ref the photos above) are for.

ЗДРАВСТВУЙТЕ. Подскажите пожалуйста. У меня выключилась камера и больше не включается. Что может быть? И где копать?

Hello everyone. I own a noname ip cam using the GK7102S chip. As i was not able to connect the camera to wifi i attempted a firmware update with a firmware that i am not sure was suitable for my camera. Now the device is dead and i was wondering if there is another way in reflashing the chip. There is no serial port available on the motherboard(the components for UART are not soldered) . Or if i purchase another chip it will come with the firmware already written on it? Thank You in advance for Your help.

Thank You Maartenjd for the prompt reply. My board(s) look extremely similar with the last photos from the thread You reffered to. The problem for me is that the j3 and resistors, transistors in front of it are missing on my board so i am guessing there is no access to the chip via serial? Damn low budget noname cams :)

Hello Lucian. If no serial port available, you could try to directly flash the EEPROM with a module like this: https://a.aliexpress.com/_EvoiJ9d.

I have no further experience with it.

Maartenjd, yes i think that this approach is the only one left and for it to work i would need the right socket and the pinout of the chip...
