'URLError - could not download file' in QGIS Lyon 2.12.3 #29

Hello. My name is Byeong-Hyeok Yu and I'm working at Korea National Park Service. I updated QGIS into 2.12.3, and I found there is an error in the Oceancolor downloader plugin. When I try to download the images, 'URLError - could not download file' message is being showed. For change monitoring of marine national parks, I was enjoying this plugin. Of course, I can download the images from Oceancolor official website, I could reduce redundant efforts like format conversion (from nc to GeoTIFF). I'm using Windows 7 OS, and I ever downloaded MODIS SST data by using this plugin. Thank you.

Hi, Thanks for highlighting this. I'm going to look into why this is happening today. From my initial tests, looks as though SeaWifs data is still ok, but MODIS is not.

I've done what I can on this today. The issue was some changed file names on the NASA side, which I have done a fix for. Before releasing as a new version, I will do a bit more testing tomorrow. The plugin should be up and running again soon.

Thank you for the really rapid response! I'm so happy to use the plugin for my research continously. There are three marine national parks in Korea, and I was doing a comparison study between SSTs of them.

I have a new version ready now. Once I did some testing on windows, it turns out there was some differences in how GDAL was reading the new files on the Oceancolor data centre compared to on my Mac. I need to look into this more.... Looking at this under issue #30

It seems the QGIS plugin website is down, so I will try and upload the new version again later on. Keep an eye out....
