would it be possible to add other mail services beside gmail? perhaps this can be configured in sources?

anthon38 commented 6 years ago

It depends if the email service offers an xml feed for your emails. Last time I checked only gmail did this. Most services only allow to check your mails via smtp.

and there is no hope for smtp, imapi, pop3 ingeration? this widget is so nice looking one!

anthon38 commented 6 years ago

personally I have no intentions to implement this at all because it's a lot of work for something that 1) I do not use, and 2) already exists in the form of desktop email clients. Sorry

okay, thank You for answers. regarding of current product – i can't get it to work. newest plasma on kde neon doesn't list this in widgets, but it appears as installed in „hot new stuff”

anthon38 commented 6 years ago

That's because it's not a purely scripted plasmoid, it needs to be compiled and installed. Get Hot New Stuff unfortunately doesn't make a difference a difference between the two, so it can mislead people into thinking they can install it with GHNS. To install it manually I described the procedure here in the comments: https://store.kde.org/p/998911/show/page/4
