I am on 4.3.1. It used to load links chosen to be opened in New Tab in background, but now it switches to the new tab automatically. At least make it an option.

+1

aexvir commented 8 years ago

Yes, please, now is much slower to use Lighting than before

haverholm commented 8 years ago

This option does seem to have become lost when the settings were spring cleaned. It's a small thing but I appreciate the customization now that it's gone :/

+1, this formerly superior browser is now a generic medriocre one =(

the new position of the "new tab" button also screws my flow, but perhaps I will get used to it...

Buntbart commented 8 years ago

+1 especially for lists, e.g. search results, I want new tabs in the background. Make it an option, please!

erbozg commented 8 years ago

+1 make it an option or as it used to be, in the background.

jebeld17 commented 8 years ago

This should be an option, but not the default. Not at least until the memory leak issues are fixed in Android Marshmallow.

tp0 commented 8 years ago

There's a fork called JumpGo that does this. Other than that I don't even remember other major differences (besides the "branding" and different default bookmarks).
