I think styling for one theme element might be missing, and that is the "More tabs" element, typically seen at the right hand side of the editor view, with the double arrows (>>) to indicate there are more tabs.
When I have more than 4 / 5 files open, this element pops up, and I would expect it to be grey, much like the unselected tabs in the editor, but it looks like it is a blueish color, much like the old theme active in RStudio.
