i took a look at the rules, and here it is currently:
Teams may add a total of five (5) players to the roster after the June 1 roster submission deadline. The total number of players on a team still may not exceed twenty-six (26). In order to add players between June 1 and July 1 but not exceed the 26 player limit, a team may drop players who were rostered on June 1. No players may be added after July 1, except as set forth below. After July 1, upon request to the Rules and Competition Committee, a team may add a player if (i) the team’s roster has fallen (or, upon the removal of players “missing in action” as described below, will fall) below the 16 player minimum and (ii) doing so will, in the good faith determination of the Rules and Competition Committee, prevent the team from forfeiting games. i think it would satisfy george’s request if we allow the 5 player adds past july 1 and remove the requirement for drops only in the case of falling before the minimum.
i would not be in favor. i think the rule as is offers flexibility in case there is a team that would be on the cusp of having forefeits or dropping out
i also think 26 is plenty to allow for players who are hurt or disappear.
but i wanted to make sure i showed the option to the committee.

Agreed. I would not be in favor of adding after 7/1. Opens the door to people bringing in a “ringer”. I’m not saying anyone would do that, but if allowed and some team had the chance they would.
You can make a total of 5 roster moves before the 7/1 deadline.
So pushing this request.
Basically the proposal is that by the time we turn in our final rosters the 26 man roster on June 1st that we would be allowed to add two or three guys submit it with the 26-man roster that are injured and that could be used if players that are already on the 26 mail roster either get hurt or stop coming you can put those three players that are on their injured reserve into your roster as a replacement. With that being said people removed from the 26 man roster and replaced by the injured guys, that were already submitted will no longer be eligible to play for the rest of the season or playoffs.
