This is my first time on GitHub, so please excuse me if I have not followed convention but I couldn't find anywhere else to post my solution to a problem I had connecting homebridge-cbus to Homekit on iOS 11.4.
I followed @darylmc fantastic step by step video and spreadsheet guide to run homebridge-cbus on a pi but I couldn't get Homekit to recognise my Cbus project.
Eventually, I discovered that editing config.json via nano was the problem. I needed to edit in Atom and paste into a clean config.json each time (as well as changing the username). I have tested this several times to check it wasn't a fluke.
