Closed antijingoist closed 5 years ago

antijingoist commented 11 years ago

"Hello, How about adding Cyrillic support? Most of the letters are the same as in Latin, you just need to add Г,Д,Ж,З,И,Л,П,Ф,Ц,Ч,Ш,Щ,Ю,Я."

--- There is a **[$50 open bounty](https://www.bountysource.com/issues/1020668-cyrillic-support?utm_campaign=plugin&utm_content=tracker%2F271843&utm_medium=issues&utm_source=github)** on this issue. Add to the bounty at [Bountysource](https://www.bountysource.com/?utm_campaign=plugin&utm_content=tracker%2F271843&utm_medium=issues&utm_source=github).

Yep, you should really add support for Cyrillic.

antijingoist commented 11 years ago

I should. It's on the todo list.

Pushing this out to version 3 so I could spend more time on it.

Hey , Abbie , I'd like to work on this. By the way in description you are missing several letters : "Ъ , Б , Й , Ё , Ь , Э , Ы , т " Could you help? How should I start?

I was wondering if this is really completed, or if I am not using it correctly.

I try to apply the font (v3 beta) in a book of poetry for children, this is a minimal example I compile with lualatex

\documentclass[12pt]{article}

\usepackage{fontspec}
\setmainfont{OpenDyslexic3}

\usepackage{lipsum}
\begin{document}
Когда я был во втором классе, на одном из уроков мы изучали стихотворение, которое заканчивалось троеточием.

\end{document}

However, the resulting document has some missing characters: image
