I just received the same error on pop os on X1 6th Gen Carbon:

P.S. It worked perfectly on my HP AMD base desktop pop_os system.
It probably will not change your segfault, but there is an updated UxPlay at PR #58.
what do you see with the debug option ? uxplay -d
Did you start anything streaming from the client (iPad or iPhone), or did the segfault happen right away after the connection was made? I can see that audio had not started. If you were streaming with audio, try uxplay -d -a
to disable audio to see if that is where the segfault happens
Same here on Almalinux(though it's via WSL2).
