A user may not understand (or consider) that SLiM starts Xserver, presents login screen, and remains running in the background throughout the desktop session(s)... and that SLiM only considers autologin during "firstrun".
possible point of confusion:
after setting up autologin (via /usr/local/bin/slim-login), user clicks "Logout" and wonders why autologin isn't immediately performed
