Most sheets are off-grid... #4

Hi ajawamnet

Your screenshot you posted suggests that you are using a grid of 0.254 (10mil).

The schematics are defined for a grid of 1.27mm (50mil) which is a default grid size specified for KiCad 7 and KiCad8 (see the https://docs.kicad.org/8.0/en/eeschema/eeschema.html#snapping). You can also use a 0.635mm (25mil) grid for a more fine-grained snapping.
