black screen

What steps will reproduce the problem?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to be able to see selected image . I only see a black screen.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version.  LG spectrum android gingerbread

I'm able to set the image,  but open waking up the tablet (A500 with JB ROM 
(TegraOwners and XDA versions) I get a black screen.  Since version 1.10

I cannot reproduce these issues, can anyone that has these problems send me log 
files, or any other information to help me figure out what could be going on?

I've attempted to fix this, but am just guessing since it works OK on my 
tablet. Could someone that has this issue try the 1.11 update and see if this 
fixed the problem?

I'm on android icecream LG spectrum phone. I can't use anything of the free
version of simple image wallpaper past version 1.5.

OMG, do you mean to tell me that this issue has been going on since 2012??!! I 
have been using this app since Feb. 2013 on my Nexus 7 tablet with no problems, 
and all of a sudden it's giving me a black screen too.  If this is due to an 
update, how can I get the old version back? I also bought the pro version,  it 
it didn't work either.  I love this app.. please help!!!  :(

I don't see this on my Nexus 7, but I have no doubt that it is happening, I 
just need to figure out where. I have debugged previous problems like this by 
others sending me the logcat files that show the stack trace of exceptions that 
occur, but it looks like in Jellybean, these no longer work since Android 
tightened down the security and apps can no longer read the all info from 
logcat.

So I have to debug this the best I can, by either duplicating it or having 
someone that has the problem and is an Android developer use adb or eclipse to 
send me the log files. If that is not possible, can those that have the problem 
send me as much information as they think is relevant, such as where the images 
they tried are located, examples of images they are using, the version of the 
OS, the version of Simple Image Wallpaper (or the Pro version) and anything 
else they think would be useful. Send it to fatmonkeysmile@gmail.com or post it 
here if it is not anything that might be personal.

One solution would be try some of the other wallpaper apps that may do this, 
such as "Image 2 Live Wallpaper", "MultiPicture Live Wallpaper" or "Wallpaper 
Slideshow". I have not tried these, but it looks like they may work even better 
than mine.
