stops working with KitKat upgrade

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.upgrading Nexus 10 to KitKat
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Unable to select image from gallery - no preview image.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest, just upgraded to pro but still the same. Worked fine with ice cream 
sandwich. Wish I had not upgraded my OS.

Please provide any additional information below.

Same problem at my Nexus 7 since upgrading yesterday to KitKat. I can select 
Images but only a black background will be shown. On jellybean it works fine.
