Downloaded Image Squished #125

An odd issue I've found, but it's not a major issue...

There are a number of images that when viewed in Windows' Preview Image program
will show them as either squished/stretched vertically or horizontally (Usually
heavily squished).
HOWEVER. When I load them in my art/image-browsing program, Paint Shop Pro 5
(or Paint) they come up perfectly!
(yes, PSP5 is a relic, but it does what I want better than any other program
I've ever tried. Just has some issues with foreign text [most are easily
fixable, some not at all so far]... If only I could fix that!)

So, I know it's not a major issue, but I thought it should be noted anyway.

Attachments:
First is a screenshot of an image loaded in Windows Preview, squished.
Second is the exact same image opened using Paint Shop Pro 5, where it renders
just fine.

I haven't tested if it repeats with the same files... -_-;
If you want to test with this one, it's
nameless_event_6___other_zoom_by_Lavypoo from DeviantArt (I guess you could see
that from the images though. ^_^;

It seems like a random occurrence. Also, if you take one of those images, open
them in, say, PSP5, then simply save them as they are when loaded, they will
render correctly. (Third Screenshot)

Sorry, found another, actual, problem: Some DeviantArt links don't actually go
to a "download" URL. There is only the image, and it's associated 'Preview' URL.
Can that be fixed, so it will download them, preferably treating the filename
as having the Title (since the actual filename is random digits).
Example link:
http://faustsketcher.deviantart.com/art/Red-Killing-Hood-Animation-149982980

Gives error:
13:40:02
http://faustsketcher.deviantart.com/art/Red-Killing-Hood-Animation-149982980:
can not get url for picture

The program does already recognize the Preview link though. (I guess you'd know
that, of course. -_-; )

Also, can a List Artist function be added for DeviantArt, like for Pixiv? I
don't know if that would work... but it'd be useful.

I mean, like the User ID (In Tags) listing option, for bulk downloading.

>squished/stretched
It's a bug of the Windows Viewer, don't know why it happens from time to time.
May be it trying to make cache when picture not yet downloaded or something
like this. Pictures CRC-hash is equal with source one, then pictures downloaded
properly.

>can not get url for picture
I'll check it.

>can a List Artist function be added for DeviantArt, like for Pixiv?
I'll add it.

Huh. So it's just Windows being Windows. That figures. -_-

Thanks!

I know it's a bother, but I really look forward to Tag Saving/Blacklist, for
Pixiv at the least... -_-;
Where does the downloaded tags get stored anyways? Are they just held in cache
until the tab is closed? I've noticed that it takes a long time to close a
single tab if it has a lot of links in it (when I bulk download, I easily have
over 5,000 pictures in it, and it takes a while to close it when it's done)

Yeah, right now it's just caching data in memory, and when you closing a tab,
releasing can take a time.

Both issues fixed.

Cool! Trying it out now.

Ah, I see. Hm. I hope that can be changed soon... there's been times that that
really lags up my computer (rarely though).
