SETJA with accusative subject #349

First, is the accusative argument the subject below? And secondly, assuming that it is the subject, should we treat this verb as raising the subject out of a small clause complement, or should the ADJP just be the complement of the verb directly?

"og setti allan hans líkam hvítan sem snjó og öll hans bein voru þá heil."

I think the accusative is the subject, and most likely it should be treated as a raised small clause subject.
