Logitech Wrapper not working in The Division, Battlefield 1 #1231

Open Ast3r10n opened 6 years ago

Ast3r10n commented 6 years ago

Expected behavior: The Division and Battlefield 1 should be natively supported and control lighting.

Actual behavior: Lights turn off at game launch, and don't turn on again until closed if using the Default profile. Tried disabling the default profile: in this case Corsair iCUE keeps lighting control and the Logitech wrapper doesn't kick in.

How often does this problem occur? This problem occurs everytime.

Please describe the steps to reproduce this issue: The issue can be reproduced by doing following steps:

  1. Launch The Division or Battlefield 1 (these are the ones I tested)
  2. Open a game or connect to any server
  3. Try setting a color profile using stock applications (Razer Synapse, Corsair iCUE...) and disabling the default profile within Aurora.

What is the version of Aurora you are experiencing this issue with? My version is 0.6.2b.

Does the previous version of Aurora have this issue? I didn't try any previous version.

Please include any logs, screenshots, or files that are related to this issue: https://pastebin.com/w8hNTmqW

I just tested BF1 and the division and they both worked for me with Aurora. But yes, logitech games are really weird with their support.

How did you manage to make it work?

simon-wh commented 6 years ago

@Ast3r10n Did you definitely apply the Logitech wrapper before launching the games? If the wrapper is applied and the game doesn't work properly it'll usually at least have a mention of a connection in the log, which you don't have. If you did patch before, try repatching.

In the discord we found out that The Division only lets you enable the lights if you have lgs installed. I have no idea if it looks at the folder, exe, or something else, but I renamed the LGS folder in program files without any other changes and that option greyed out for me(in-game).

@simon-wh I applied the Logitech wrapper, and it completed successfully (or so it said). I also tried repatching, but it still didn't work. I will try installing LGS and let you know if that could be the culprit.

Any update?

Unfortunately, I moved a couple of weeks ago, so I could not test it yet. I installed LGS though and will be testing on Saturday.
