Corsair Harpoon not working (also trying to test LL120s and Vengeance Pro RAM) #1536

Open Axodious opened 5 years ago

Axodious commented 5 years ago

Expected behavior:

The 1 light on the mouse should react to things like key presses (tested using the Windows key on the desktop).

Actual behavior:

When I start Aurora it turns off my mouse light. (Also it turns off my 3 LL120 fan lights, it keeps the RAM lights on in whatever state they were left).

How often does this problem occur?

This problem occurs... Every time

Please describe the steps to reproduce this issue:

The issue can be reproduced by doing following steps:

  1. Install Aurora
  2. Run Aurora

What is the version of Aurora you are experiencing this issue with?

My version is... v0.6.4b-637-qtvembdf

Does the previous version of Aurora have this issue?

The previous version, v.0.6.4b, did have this issue.

Please include any logs, screenshots, or files that are related to this issue:

As a side note, the mouse does not show in the Devices and Wrappers list. Also I do not have a keyboard (didn't find any documentation that one was required). From reading my guess is with the fans/RAM it needs a working mouse/keyboard to "share" with?

Please try #1530 PR and let me know.

Mouse does nothing no matter what I do. Fans work if I set a preferred mouse and keyboard (Generic for both is what I currently have set). RAM doesn't seem to work at all, even when the program starts RAM continues the iCUE profile instead of turning off.

If either the preferred keyboard or mouse are set to none the fans stop working.

Just to make sure it's Aurora doing it the desktop profile has a typing reaction, correct? If so that is what the fans are responding to.

Gurjot95 commented 5 years ago

I know about mouse issue but with new PR, it should at least start detecting it in Aurora Device manager. Right now, all the peripherals follows mouse color so just set preferred mouse layout to anyone and it should work. It's just a layout, any layout should work. Regarding RAM, please check corsair options in aurora Device manager and make sure shared mode is disabled and RAM lightning is enabled.

Axodious commented 5 years ago

Shared mode off, everything else on (RAM, Cooler, Lighting Node, Commander Pro).

Can you come on our discord where I can send you debug builds?

Axodious commented 5 years ago

Sure thing, I'm Sonic on Discord; I've also installed it on my phone and turned on direct message notifications in case I'm not at my computer.

Gurjot95 commented 5 years ago

Should be fixed with #1580

Hi, has this got anywhere? - I have a harpoon too and it appears to be connecting but isn't actually working.
