What is happening is that there is a layer in Synapse trying to fight over Aurora with who should be having control my suggestion would be disable everything of lighting in Synapse and Chroma and only have Aurora the active Chroma app. A friend of mine had the same thing happen after a update and removing all effects that aren't Aurora based fixes it.
Expected Behaviour
Continuous lighting from Aurora Settings
Actual Behaviour
Razer Synapse attempts to take over. It causes flickering of lights.
Reproduction steps
Disable all lighting effects in Synapse. Enable desktop lighting effects in Aurora.
Frequency
This happens every five seconds. I have attempted uninstall and reinstall of both Aurora and Synapse. As well as starting with a restart.
Aurora Version:
Currently using v0.7.1
Previously an Issue?
It also occurred with 0.7.0 and I had a 0.6.x installed and had the issue as well.
I have taken videos so you can see the action. The video does not do justice to how noticeable the flash actually is. The keyboard is a Razer Cynosa Chroma, using the Blackwidow x profile. https://imgur.com/a/7hR6gKn
