Is it possible for the software to kill my keyboard? #1807

I have the Sound BlasterX Vanguard K08, and after updating to the latest version i was crashing on load after getting a preference loading error. So i re-installed and got it up and running, i went into settings and chose the K08 from the list, then i just wanted to see if the Turn off all lighting button worked, so i clicked it, and the lights went off on the keyboard, and the program instantly froze. After about 3-4 minutes i had to close it from the task manager. From that point forward, none of the keys work, and the lights don't come on. I even tried it on another computer and it's the same, the lights all stay off and it doesn't respond. However the computer/s do see it, they beep when plugged in, get the keyboard in the hardware tab, and definitely detect it. The hub works also. The numlock light comes also, so i know it's getting power. So it's like there, and the system/s detect it, but none of the keys or lights respond. I tried uninstalling and then installing the sound blaster keyboard software, it shows the keyboard with all lights off but when i try and modify the lighting it crashes. I'm going to uninstall it and put Aurora back on and i guess keep messing with it, but since it's not even working on another system, i'm not super hopeful.

Ok, so some digging online led me to how to hardware reset if it ever gets a bad profile. You have to unplug the USB, hold down CTR + ALT + F2 and plug back in. That did the trick and got me back to typing!
