G810: Num lock light not working with G-HUB #1952

Open nerkaid opened 4 years ago

nerkaid commented 4 years ago

Expected Behaviour

When clicking Num lock the light should bright when enabled, as the other shift block or scroll lock lights works.

Actual Behaviour

When clicking Num lock key the light of the num lock don't bright, the key shift block or scroll lock work as expected.

Reproduction steps

With G-Hub installed push the num lock key on a G810.

Frequency

Always, tried to restart both Aurora and G-Hub, and the computer. Try to select the "rewrite" dll option with G-Hub. Nothing worked. If I exit from Aurora the num lock key start to work back as expected.

Aurora Version:

Aurora: v0.7.2 Logitech G-Hub: 2020.2.35921 This issue didn't happen with the latest Logitech Gaming Software from 2018.

Previously an Issue?

Don't know because I was using Logitech Gaming Software insted of G-Hub.

Can confirm this happens. Messed around trying to find a workaround and I found that it can also happen to caps and scroll lock, but only IF num/caps/scroll lock is already on when Aurora starts.

So a possible workaround would be to turn off all the locks before starting Aurora, then setting the right locks again after.

This is very weird behavior from Logitech. They don't allow setting the leds individually on those leds, so the only way to set them is to set the entire keyboard.

I've implemented a way to do this in auroras device manager, under the view options button. If you tick the checkbox default color, and adjust that color, the next time aurora initializes Logitech the lock leds should turn to that color.

Apart from this, I don't think this an issue with aurora.

I also have the same bug with the same keyboard (G810) I was using the original Logitech Gaming Software without any issue. I changed my mouse from a G502 to a G903 and LGS didn't detect it. I had to "upgrade" the software to GHub and as soon as I start the Aurora service on Logitech my 3 lock lights stop working. Everything else works as expected

After messing around with Aurora all my media lights went out as well. I stopped the Logitech service within Aurora, checked the default color checkbox as suggested and it finally started working with all lights working propely and even changing to the color I select from Aurora after two tries

I am also experiencing this issue since migrating to G-Hub, has been this way for months without resolution

UPDATE: Determined that this seems to be an issue only with blue, red and green combos seems to work fine. Hard to tell if this is a driver issue or a hardware issue, the keyboard is less than a year old
