Compiling issue on Mac #3

I'm having trouble installing the package on osx. The error message that shows 
up when typing setup.py install is:

lipo: can't open input file: /var/tmp//ccfX6aoN.out (No such file or directory)
error: command 'gcc-4.2' failed with exit status 1

I installed the f2c package and set the correct path in the setup.py. I did not 
manage to install the m package. It's a bit old that one.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm using Mac OS X Snow Leopard and Python 2.6
