Could you try to change from settings pages (Phone page)?
Maybe you will have to kill application (from 'task bar').

Ok, I don't reproduce the issue, so it will be difficult to fix your issue :-(
However, I released a new version 3.9.8. Could you try it and tell me if it
works now.

Same result. iPhone 3GS, multitask off, Siphon-Phone-Backgrounding off, crash
when press Call. With Multitask off but Siphon Backgrounding on, Whistlephone
SIP service keeps "Connecting..." instead of "Available".

With multitask on, is the application works?
Could you tell me is WiFi/3G are up or not?
With 3.9.7 and before, application crashed if the account is not
registered/connected.
Normally, with 3.9.8 application shouldn't crash in this case.

Airplane mode with Wifi, no 3G or GPRS.
I've not tried it with multitask on yet on my 3GS, but it does work with my
iPhone 4 with multitask.

This issue comes with SIP providers that don't accept TCP connection.
When the SIP message is bigger, the SIP protocol switch from UDP to TCP. If you
SIP provider doesn't accept TCP connection, you should use few codecs.
I released a beta version 3.9.9
