Interesting, indeed.

Could you share some logs?

ignoramous commented 3 years ago

Note aan.amazon.in at the top (latest) and other blocked Amazon queries at the bottom (earliest).

I guess we should also add unagi-eu.amazon.com? That one slipped through whilst unagi.amazon.com didn't. Hm.

Hmm I can' replicate it :unamused:

Try switching region to India on your Amazon app, and then search for "doctor extra soft", tap on the top-bar that shows ads. The ad page wouldn't load if you've setup 1Hosts (Pro), but you should see requests out to aan.amazon.in.

That can explain a lot, as I do not install spyware..

Or, install spyware in your Android emulator ;)

Don't have that either as peoples using android or windows are not really serious about privacy.... so not wasting my time on them and there spyware as they cant be carrying a lot about protecting them self against it anyway.

However what I can find and confirm is:

aan.amazon.(com|co.jp|co.uk|) and aan.amazon-adsystem.com

Can you post some logs??

ignoramous commented 3 years ago

Sure, but: Logs from where? Logs of what?

spirillen commented 3 years ago

The program where you found the adware domain...
