Cannot Rename User #4

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. renaming existing user
2. either not permitted or dumps the user hash to screen
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
user hash or not permitted

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Error message received is:

Fatal error: Call to a member function retrieveUser() on a non-object in 
/usr/share/drupal6/modules/grupal/grupal.module on line 177

I get this issue as well.  On Drupal 6.14.  

I add a drupal user (with an existing google apps account)...but try to update 
the
password (to sync the passwords up), I get the hash dump of the users 
information.

Odd enough, I didn't see this error on my other drupal site 6.16.
