about to create the circle patch #1

I was reading and operating the code these days, but I got some problems. I follow the code in the print_patch.py, but I got a white square with a red circle on it. Then I tried to paste the patch to the img, but how can I eliminate the white square ? ( I just want to paste a circle to the img. )
