This is how I see it: pulling only the videofeed doesn't make you a viewer. You need to use the twitch website to be a viewer, although it would probably be possible from twitch end to just count long standing network connections from their cdn servers, twitch itself is mostly interested in active/interactive viewers, and although you might be (if you open the irc chat or even have the twitch channel page open in the browser) just opening the stream from kodi doesn't make you one. Twitch grew to be much more than just video+chat and should only count as viewers accesses from clients which support enough of the twitch features
I have received the OAuth Token and am logged in with the account, but when viewing my stream, it does not count toward the live viewers for the stream. I use the PI to debug the stream and watch the stream playback, but I'm trying to up the view count as well, and it's not doing that for me.
