broken multiplayer in steam? #213

not sure what will help you here, but both starbound and terraria multiplayer is broke? yet on kubuntu it's fine

You're going to have to give a bit more detail than that. I do have Starbound but I'm not in a hurry to try it.

specifically, it hangs on the connecting phase. On starbound it times out, on terraria it just keeps going (no timeout mechanism?), i can get the windows version of starbound (via wine) to connect so it isn't specifically the device necessarily. as all starbound says is that it timed out and terraria just... keeps trying to connect as if everything is fine i'm unsure what information i may give to help.

There was a snafu with Steam's beta client from 2018-07-11 that affected all 64 bit games that used steamworks and was fixed yesterday. Make sure the steam client is up to date and check again.
