It looks like you're trying to start the game outside of Steam. I don't think this is guaranteed to work and may well be why it is failing. libsteam.so lives at ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/libsteam.so.

That still looks like you started it from outside Steam to me.

You can try adding it to UNBUNDLEABLES in /usr/share/esteam/database.bash, running esteam -v, and pasting the output here. If that doesn't help, you'll have to figure this out yourself because this isn't a game I'm likely to try.

I doubt it will fix the problem as you probably have it already but I've added GTK3 to the esteam list. I don't know what else to suggest.
