install instructions fail #16

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. download 3.0.3.08 mac beta  (ran it to test, it works fine)
2. download 3.0.6 mac, copy files from that folder into 3.0.3 folder 
overwriting all files as per install 
readme

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

error #2032
can't load plugins or files,
doesn't do anything

not sure if this makes a difference, but, on the online DEMO, when the 
application
loads up, you can see the path it says

loading filters:   onyx/plugins.....

but when I start up the application, it says:

loading filters:  /plugins....

could it just be a directory issue?

3.0.3 is depreciated.  What happens with the latest version?
