Active recording stations quick-plot #290

Open astecken opened 8 years ago

Russ Babcock asked for this enhancement to be implemented during the workshop 2015:

Implement a quick plot of stations that were actually recording data compared to when they weren't to be able to relate this info to residency/roaming indices. Something like the VUE detection data output maybe, (anything really) where you can see a timeline for each receiver that portrays when the gear was there and collecting data, and when it wasn’t. There are a lot of receivers that are visible when you search the database, but a lot of them are not out there anymore. It would probably be easy for example (particularly with sparsely detected animals) to assume there were no tagged animals in the area, when in fact the receiver was no longer at the location due to breakdown, termination of projects etc.

Isn't it what this layer https://imos.aodn.org.au/imos123/home?uuid=4a97bd11-e821-4682-8b20-cb69201f3223 and its associated filters allow people to do?

@xhoenner Russ commented on this issue:

Maybe it would, but you would have to kind of know in advance what time periods to check for active/inactive? Then build it into a history for each station. Usually people would I imagine select a box, and just grab all the data?
