Instrument vocabulary includes term description with trailing space #449

Open jonescc opened 4 years ago

jonescc commented 4 years ago

“RBR TGR-2050 submersible tide gauge ” has a trailing space.

Causing some issues with cloud deploy deployment of vocabularies due to GeoNetwork stripping this out so that its different to the published vocabulary

@jonescc this has been removed in the most recent published version of this vocabulary. According to the new query that Richard has instigated in the ARDC Editor admin tool - there aren't any others. Do you want to check our side if the issue still exists?

There are still some issues in content.aodn.org.au - does the vocab need to be updated?

Trailing space:

          xml:lang="en">RBR TGR-2050 submersible tide gauge </rdfs:label>

Leading space:

xml:lang="en"> A collection of conductivity, temperature and depth (CTD) sensors which are generally linked to a common data logger that samples at up to 15Hz. The CTD sensors utilise the patented Non-eXternal Inductive Cell (NXIC) conductivity sensor, originally developed by FSI for the US Navy DT-705 Sound Velocity/Salinity sensor. Models in the collection include the NXIC CT Bio Direct Read-500M, NXIC CTD Bio Direct Read-500M, NXIC CTD Bio Auto-500M, NXIC CTD Direct Read-500M, NXIC CTD Direct Read-700M, NXIC CTD Auto-500M, NXIC CTD Auto-700M, NXIC CTD-ADC with external sensors, and the NXIC ETSG Thermosalinograph. Parameters are measured to an accuracy ranging from 0.002-0.010 mS/cm for conductivity, 0.005 degC for temperature and 0.08% for full scale pressure. Now marketed by Teledyne RD Instruments.</skos:definition>
xml:lang="en"> Electronic devices that record data over time or in relation to location either with a built-in instrument or sensor or via external instruments and sensors.</skos:definition> - leading space

Ahh - I thought the first reference was to the current concept, but its referring to a deprecated concept with the same name (as the generated vocab URL is wrong). I would have to get Richard to edit that in the backend?

Richard's query is for trailing spaces, I will get him to amend it to include "leading" Show triples in which the object is a literal that has trailing whitespace

So I am unlikely to publish another version of this vocabulary for awhile, will discuss with you our options

@jonescc I have got Richard to run an update in the backend. So this issue has been resolved. However, I am unlikely to publish another version of this vocabulary for awhile - so can we discuss if this is an issue when you are back.

@atkinsn can this be closed ?

atkinsn commented 2 years ago

Maybe @lbesnard ?

@craigrose I need to check if there is still an issue our end (I have published a new version of the offending vocabulary, so should be ok now)
