Theme, Plugin and database for Leipzig 2014 #11

I'm filing in here what we would need to setup the site for Leipzig 2014. 1) I put all the themes stuff into the wp-content/themes directory, so we would need only a push of this single theme directory 2) We use an overlay background, done with a small plugin, the bg-manager 3) Probably we need to apply some corrections to the themes.css file during the setup

I pushed the whole wordpress directory with his database to my account at https://github.com/robyduck/libgraph I don't know if it's easier to use directly this source or repeating the configuration on the new installed WP (it's the same version I guess).

No other configurations are needed for now. Please let me/us know how the upload should be done or if you just pick it up from my github.

hi robert

your repository contains a full wp!

i don't think that i want to reinstall everything from it. i'd really prefer to use what is already configured.

on the other side, i failed to find a specific theme for the lgm 2014. is it expound? if it is, could you rename it as lgm2014, please? it would be nice if you could make a repository with the theme only.

if you need specific changes to the wp files, i suggest you to fork this repository, add those files to a new branch and make a pull request. i will then upload the files to the server.

the background-manager plugin is now installed and activated.

and -- one of this days -- we probably should have a chat about what are the needs and your vision for the LGM 2014 site...

Nice, thank you for the plugin. I will also rename the theme and create a new specific repository for it. For now I avoided to change other wp-files, trying to put in all the changes needed into the themes dir. Once ready I will update this issue/topic. Robert

I've created the repository with the theme only: https://github.com/robyduck/lgm2014 Can you please upload it to get it working? I think we will need to update the CSS a little bit once the theme is set online. Thanks

i've uploaded and activated the theme! ciao a.l.e

Thanks a bunch. If we have changes I'll do a pull request (hopefully not too often). Ciao

I did some changes inside the theme dir, in header.php and /css/expound.css, and pushed them to my theme repo. Do you can pick them up or where should I upload them or pull requesting them?

Could we update the gravity form to the last version? We are not able to edit multiple choice forms, this seems to be an issue with this older version (for subdirs), the last version is 1.7.9. Don't care about the form, no need to save it.

i'll get the zip from your repository... this evening or tomorrow.

aoloe commented 11 years ago

i've uploaded the new version of the theme!

concerning the gravity form plugin, i'll answer in the ticket which is already open... (https://github.com/aoloe/lgm-wp-14/issues/3)
