Tabbed interface is very bugged #12

I discovered two bugs, which I think are closely related to the way we're doing tab switching right now.

  1. If a search job finishes while the user is in another tab, the app crashes. Can we not call methods of fragments which has been remove()'d?
  2. Search results disappear while switching to another tab and back again. I don't know if the list is emptied, or simply invisible.
