[REQ] Remove file extension from compression name #305

Currently when single files are compressed the archive name includes the file extension.

bigimage.jpg -> bigimage.jpg.7z

Could you have an option in the preferences which removes the file extension from the archive name?

bigimage.jpg -> bigimage.7z

FWIW I prefer the current way because it is the same as macOS in-built Archive Utility

As I always have file extensions visible this option would be perfect. Thanks for the input and great work on the app :)

@gingerbeardman this will be an addition with an option, it will not replace the default behaviour 👍

Here a build with this option implemente in: Preferences -> Compression -> Keep source extension
