friends/followers page give an error at times

What happened?
when i open the followers or friends link i get the error shownn in the image.

line 1816:foreach ($feed->users->user as $user) {
it is under "function theme_followers($feed, $hide_pagination = false) {" in 
twitter.php

line 147:header('Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8');
in theme.php

What did you expect to happen?
i expected it to open a list of my friends and followers which it does at times 
and at other times it gives me the error.

does anyone have a solution to this isue
