Freenode "This nickname is registered" - not recognized. #1

Freenode uses the following message:

This nickname is registered. Please choose a 
different [...]

Note that there is only one space after the first dot, unlike the other check that you do.

I will have to take a look. I am not personally using this version of the code and I may not fix this as such when I do.

I am thinking of taking out all code that checks for responses, and to simply have the script always send the credentials. I might even take out any specific support for credentials.

I am thinking of just offering a way to configure two commands, one of which is always executed when re-/taking a nick, and one that is always executed when someone else has the preferred nick. You could configure NickServ identify and ghost commands for these cases – but you could equally use commands for QuakeNet’s Q bot, f.ex.

And the formatting of NickServ’s messages wouldn’t matter.

Any updates on this? I'd really love to see an update version of this script :)
