(1.17) Cleric-cauldron crash #48

I understand that the issue with cauldrons crashing the game was fixed for 1.17.1 (1.2.2), but my server is running the 1.2.1 version uploaded on June 13th for which it is still an issue. Is there any way I can fix this for my 1.17 version server?
