@rohityadavcloud can you share the whole list of commands ? if possible, can you share the vmops.log as well ?
when I run #8609 on a ubuntu 22.04 server, I have noticed the same error in the description of this issue, but cloudstack management server seems to be working
@weizhouapache the issue for is also on the main
branch so I don't think it's specific to #8609; let me also ask other osx users - cc @harikrishna-patnala @sureshanaparti @nvazquez and others are you facing issues on running local mvn jetty on the latest main
branch?
I ran this:
mvn -pl :cloud-client-ui jetty:run -Dsimulator -Dnoredist -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true
@weizhouapache for reference, the following are terminal & vmops log file from #8609 env (JDK17 used): fail.log vmops.log
And on the main
branch - I saw errors on the console but in vmops log file the mgmt server started and it worked - @weizhouapache do you know if console logging has changed, earlier I was used to seeing some activities on the console (at least the INFO ones) that I don't anymore.
vmops.log (vmops log from main branch)
@vishesh92 @weizhouapache please review and advise, if this can be closed since I wasn't aware about the logging changes introduced in #7131
@rohityadavcloud I did a quick check on the vmops.log, the issue seems to be related to jdk17 upgrade.
Caused by: java.lang.reflect.InaccessibleObjectException: Unable to make protected final java.lang.Class java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(java.lang.String,byte[],int,int,java.security.ProtectionDomain) throws java.lang.ClassFormatError accessible: module java.base does not "opens java.lang" to unnamed module @75acb326
Exporting MAVEN_OPTS should have fixed the issue
@weizhouapache I tried, didn't work for me for some reason. Let me close this, if this affects generally everyone we'll hear from other osx developers.
I'm facing a similar issue - how was this resolved? exporting MAVEN_OPTS didn't help as well. I'm on Ubuntu 22.04

I'm constantly seeing CloudStack jetty:run failures on main branch (but not on 4.19 branch).
My env config on Mac OS 14 (aarch64):
On deploydb, a new failure is seen:
On running mgmt server using mvn, this is seen:
