Imajin,

I'm probably not the best person to ask about the communications needs of the group. However, I prefer mailing lists to Slack or Discord. One thing that I like about the mailing lists of other Apache projects is how they have easily searchable archives for people that are only marginally involved with projects.

Thanks for the feedback, we will continue to improve our mailing list experience, but a major issue is that the content of the mailing list is not indexed by search engines.
