I just tried to flash some TP-Link CPE210 (EU) v1.1 with LEDE 17.01

After upload a message comes up in vendor-firmware saying "Failure". I tested with current snapshot: works (messagebox asking for "keep settings", "revert settings" or "cancel" comes up)

I just rebuild a basic 17.01-image myself and was able to upload.

looks to me like the image on the download-server is bad.

That is very unlikely. Would you please check whether it is related to the image size. Doing a binary compare of the images might be helpful as well.

Recently an issue regarding a failing filename length check was reported for antoher TP-Link device. Would you please have a look at this as well.

Recently I flashed a CPE510 (this model uses the same image as CPE210) with LEDE 17.01.

My first upload attempt with LEDE's original firmware image filename failed. Then I changed the name of the file to a short one with only a single dot (I am not sure, if this details is important). Afterwards I was able to upload the image.

Thanks for pointing on this ... shorting the filename will satisfy the vendor-updater on the CPE210 too.
