The README says that yasm is a build requirement, but it isn't used
anymore.

I'm fairly sure I removed this from the docs around r1050. The current README 
r1096 
did have yasm on a fedora package script line (I had missed that), and 
subsequently 
I removed that in r1098. Nowhere else in the included README or online wiki can

find yasm mentioned.

I'm leaving open for confirmation that its not someplace else I haven't looked.
