(original Issue 262 was closed arbitrarily by richard42g.)

System:
 - Linux distribution: ubuntu jaunty 32-bit
 - Machine type: 64-bit
 - Mupen64Plus version: 1.5-development (compiled from sources and 1.5
binary)
- Plugins used:
Jttl´s Audio-development
Rice´s video plugin 1.5-development

 - CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5400+
 - RAM: 1.7 GB
 - onboard audio card: RealTek AC'97 with
a NVidia chipset.

Problem:

- The sound is horribly choppy on all games (mario kart, bomberman hero,
mario party 3, super smash bros... and many others).
I have tried aoss, padsp, sdl internal mixer and oss mixer...

fixed with a dist-upgrade, using this pulseaudio : http://
phyx.wordpress.com/2009/05/24/como-instalar-pulseaudio-0-9-15-en-ubuntu-jaunty/
and
glide64 video plugin.

This is one of the problems with pulse; even when you command SDL to use a
different
audio interface (alsa, oss, etc) these APIs presented to the application are
just
wrappers on top of pulse, so the problem remains because you're still using
pulse.
I'm glad you got the problem fixed with an upgrade however.
