Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago

Describe your system:
 - Linux distribution: os x 10.62
- Machine type: (32-bit or 64-bit)
 - Mupen64Plus version: 1.5
- Plugins used:

For visual artifacts, give:
- game name and CRC/MD5 hash (printed on console)
- description of the artifact (missing polygons, flashing, wrong colors, etc)

Describe the problem:

Hello I have been reading all over the internet all day and I cannot seem to
figure out where
Mupen64 plus creates Game Save files for games. I am attempting to load a game
save for
Ocarina of Time and cannot seem to find where on the HD Mupen64plus saves games
to (not
save states, but actual saved games)

any help would be extremely appreciated

thanks so much

in finder go to the menu bar, select go, then select go to folder... and type:
/users/["your user name"]/.mupen64plus/save
and there you go!

It would be better to ask this type of question on IRC or the emutalk forum.

I'm on Ubuntu 10.04 64bit and Mupen64Plus 1.5.
Folder does not exist /home/user/.mupen64plus

Any suggest?

It uses the XDG Basedir folders ~/.config/mupen64plus and
~/.local/share/mupen64plus as 1.99.x does it (but 1.99.x doesn't share the same
configuration files).

This is all mentioned in the default debian/ubuntu/... news files
/usr/share/doc/mupen64plus/NEWS.Debian.gz and also in
/usr/share/doc/mupen64plus/changelog.Debian.gz
