JCPNEXT4-28: Make Maintenance Review Ballots 14 days instead of 7 days #9

Closed apastsya closed 7 years ago

apastsya commented 10 years ago

Jira issue originally created by user pcurran:

Currently Maintenance Review Ballots run for 7 days while all others run for 14 days. This sometimes makes it difficult for EC members to review and vote in time. It would be simpler and more consistent if all ballots ran for 14 days.

The WG proposes that we make this change when we update the Process Document as part of JHSR 364. We will also discuss with the EC at the London F2F meeting in May 2014.

We should consider allowing an exception for Maintenance Leads to select a 2 week review period vs minimum of 4 weeks if there is a minor/urgent fix to be addressed in a Maintenance Release.

The second fix is actually in section 3.6.3 (not 3.6.4) but it is there. Closing as fixed.
