Several issues and help with development #8

Allan,

I managed to install the botp-dev branch with some hacking in the common and the Makefiles:

lots of old options;
took out dependency on libharwell and libgmit;
there were two hardcode ~/bin locations in the Makefile targets;

Also:

Doxygen documentation does not seem to work. It creates some html but empty
The README you have in the branch, is probably from the master is not consistent with the branch
The Whalin example does not work (SEG_FAULT). Others do.

Question:

Do you want us to help on this?
Or should I better try to compile the master anyhow?
