What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open IE8 on any Windows Machine
2. Go to Exhibit gallery generated here: 
http://mith.umd.edu/theatrefinder/theatres
3. Dialog pops open stating that the script is running too slowly and IE needs 
to either quit or continue. 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect to see list of theatres listed in the right-column. Instead see a IE 
dialog for either stopping or continuing the script. Continuing the script 
causes the output to have defective CSS and markup. This may be due to CSS on 
our part.

What version of the product are you using? On what browser and what
operating system?
Exhibit version 2. This was originally developed in a Mac OS and Firefox/Chrome 
environment, but we are not testing in Windows/IE. 

Please provide any additional information below.
Attached are two screenshots: one displaying the results as seen in IE and the 
other as results seen in FireFox.

The specified link seems to work fine on IE9.  Note that the exhibit codebase 
at static.simile.mit.edu is out of date; you should link to simile-widgets.org 
instead.
