When this happens, does the thermostat itself show the correct temperature? I vaguely remember a similar issue with my thermostat (One+), but it was a firmware issue. It's been a few years since it happened.
The integration only polls the API, so it shouldn't have any effect on the thermostat. If it happens after sending a specific command to the API, let me know.
It's at a remote property, so I actually haven't seen the reported temperature on the physical device. The Daikin app does show it at 60F fwiw.
I suspected it was a Daikin issue, but I have been setting up some automations with the thermostat, so at least wanted to flag this in case it was related to the HA integration. I don't believe I was triggering any automations at the time of the flatline tho.
I do see this in the logs if it's relevant.

Update of sensor.bedroom_4_outdoor_temperature is taking over 10 seconds
Regardless any thought on adding the capability to reboot the device remotely through the HA integration? Or is this possible today and I haven't seen it?
I can't find a way to reset it. Did you find a way in the app?
Nothing I've seen in the app to reset it. Was wondering if this feature was available via API at all.
Not that I can find. Best way is probably to use a wifi relay like a sonoff or something on the C wire.
Since I've added this integration to home assistant, I've had two instances (separate thermostats) where my Daikin One Lite thermostat current temperature reading suddenly flatlines at 60F (see image). The mini split will continue to pump heat, but the reading stays at 60F. I can resolve this issue by cutting and restoring power to reset the thermostat.
Hard to say if this is a Daikin issue or a Home Assistant issue, but wanted to share for visibility.
Is it possible to add an entity that allows me to reboot the device remotely through HA?
